Putting Hope Back Into Your Hands
Our
Story
Hands of Hope began in 2009 when a mother and daughter wanted to provide transitional housing for needy families. A group of 6 people formed a board of directors to help grow the mission with other resources to give to the community. In 2014 Hands of Hope launched its first program: Back 2 School. This is now Hands of Hope’s longest-running program.
OUR MISSION: Bridging the gap for the mid to low-income community of Washington, DC, and Prince Georges County areas, helping those citizens by offering assistance and support in the form of resources and the tools necessary to acquire standard necessities; and transitional housing programs. Back 2 School. This is now Hands of Hope’s longest-running program.
Our future goals include opening transitional housing in Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County. If you are interested in joining our board of directors or becoming a volunteer, feel free to contact us. We are waiting to hear from you.
